Saban is building a new clinic in a healthcare desert

Residents of the Crenshaw community will have access to the comprehensive healthcare they deserve, all under one roof.

A transformative health center for the Crenshaw district

In early 2026, Saban will break ground on a new health center in the historic Crenshaw Corridor of South Los Angeles, one of the cities’ most underserved neighborhoods. Once completed, local residents will have access to the quality medical, dental and behavioral health services they deserve, including preventive care, in a beautiful, welcoming environment.

A vibrant community where 287,000 people lack access to care

A mere two miles from affluent Hancock Park, thousands of people struggle to meet their daily needs. The Crenshaw community is home to a vibrant, diverse and resilient group of residents. But also one that has been economically disadvantaged over many decades.

Residents also face a huge deficit in access to care. Many simply can’t get to doctors, dentists, and therapists near where they live.

Choosing between economic survival and the health of your family

Crenshaw residents work hard. But with the high cost of living, many also struggle to make ends meet. When you’re tapped out from working two jobs, neither offering health insurance, and then still have to pay rent and feed your family, you’re forced to make tough choices. Healthcare takes a back seat. Result: high rates of chronic disease, untreated conditions and visits to the ER.

The safety net is shrinking. We need your donation more than ever.

Federal and state policy changes have reduced funding for healthcare and have impacted our healthcare centers. Saban Community Clinic counts on your generous donation to continue to fulfill our mission to provide outstanding, compassionate care to anyone who needs it.
